“Nimbula Director is a self-contained Infrastructure-as-a-Software (IaaS) solution. Given three bare metal commodity x86 servers, a dedicated network and the Nimbula Director ISO, it can deliver a complete EC2-style cloud. Nimbula Director manages the installation of the OS and hypervisor on the bare metal, the installation and configuration of the cloud software, the cloud datastore, and the cluster configuration, all resulting in a self-service API used by tenants to provision and manage their own IaaS resources. It also manages the availability and failover of all constituent services delivering a cloud that is as self-healing as it is self-installing.”
