I want to be able to instantiate, via an API call, an L2 connectivity between a given set of SAPs.

I also want to be able to instantiate, via an API call, a “virtual router”, which then could be “connected” to two or more L2 connectivity segments mentioned above. These “virtual routers” would need to support routing protocols in addition to static routing.

When a “vitual router” is “connected” to an L2 segment, it becomes a part of an overall L2/L3 service for the purpose of service “promises”, described further below.
